The Story Behind the Vault

   Blackstone is a busy trade city where merchants come hoping to build something bigger. Some are just opening their doors, while others arrive with businesses that have already been running for years. Each one starts with a starter ledger and a goblin clerk to help keep it in order. Getting that ledger ready might mean Startup, Migration, or Optimization.

   Blackstone is where a small Treasure Chest can grow into a merchant shop. Business gets busier and more coins start moving through the vault. As the vault grows, so does the ledger. The merchant shop earns an upgraded Merchant’s Ledger. With enough time and success, a merchant can work their way up through Blackstone and become Guild Master.

  Of course, things do not always go smoothly here. A merchant gets busy. The ledger gets ignored for a little too long, or mistakes pile up. Before long, the dreaded R.O.U.S.s (Records of Unusual Size) start to appear. That is when Catch-Upand Clean-Up come in. The goblin clerk helps clear out the mess and get the ledger back in order, keeping the merchant moving forward.
